The boy is 17, granted, so he IS still a boy but he's so over-the-top in his self-effacing 'humility' when he reacts to the judges comments that I just want to vomit on his shoes.
And then comes news that his stage father, one Jeff Archuleta, has been banned from rehearsals by Fox because of "intense backstage involvement", which was cause for concern. Which is a nice way of saying he's a dick.
The ban was enforced after Daddy Archuleta 'suggested' including a verse from Sean Kingston's "Beautiful Girls" to David's version of the classic, Stand By Me.
That creative call cost Fox and they had to fork out money to Sean Kingston's music reps because the rights to that song wasn't previously cleared for broadcast.
Nice move, Daddy Dumbass.
